Default Nitrous System Installation Complete!

Yep, I finally finished it up last night (except the purge line for which I still have to pick up some 3/16" refrigeration line). I haven't tested the system yet, but hopefully all goes well when I do.

Thanks to all who helped me with their invaluable knowledge and advice!

Here are some pics of the installation for those that asked for them.

You did do something to reign in all of those loose wires before you slapped the engine cover on it, didn't you? Looks sweet.

First few pics scared me! Didn't realize you had the top CF cover to cover the wires and such!
Looks great with that cover!
Have fun!

Z06Killer, that's a pretty bold statement to have in your user name. What kind of times are you pulling, that'll be the real indicator.
Also, it's Z06, not Zo6, it's a zero not a small case letter, fwiw.

I assume you meant rein as in "I'm going to rein in my horse" and not "reign" as in "the king reigns over his kingdom," correct?

In any case, no, I didn't rein them in. They still look like an overturned plate of spaghetti under the engine cover. So what? Just you and I know about it now anyway.

Thanks, fellas.

To Airwolf and Robert56, I'd especially like to thank you, Nitro Dave (head honcho @ Nitrous Outlet), gollum, and any others I may have forgotten and a few guys from over on the Corvetteforum and LS2 for all the help I got from you. I would never have gotten it done without your guidance.

Well, for my "shakedown cruise" I'm going to start with the smallest shot possible with this kit, the 50. If everything goes well and nothing flies off the car in the process, I"ll move up to the 75 shot and maybe then try a 100 shot.

Wire ties are your friend.

I secured everything with them.

Too bad you can't hide the intake nozzles any better, but it still looks real nice!

If he wanted ot hide it I am sure he could just put it Under the red TB Coupler, as opposed to the side, but I don't think that was his goal.

Yep. If I wanted to hide it, I could have done a better job or I could have just gotten the DTE plate and it would have been totally hidden, but complete stealth wasn't a priority for me.

In other news...........I could NOT get that damn TPS switch to work no matter what I did so I ripped it out last night and replaced it with the WOT switch that came with the system. It's a simple mechanically-activated microswitch which I positioned under the gas pedal. It works!

How'd the window switch treat ya? Didn't get any PM's or emails over the weekend so I'm guessing it worked out.

Well..........my first test run was a failure, but I don't fault the BMN window switch. I got the red and yellow test LED's to light up, but not the green so I'm think I spliced into the wrong white wire for the tach signal.

I'm going to start troubleshooting that later this afternoon.

Did you grab pin 10 off the right computer? Vettes have a few computers, the one with the tack signal is accessed from the passenger side front wheelwell.

Just a guess, but thought I'd throw that one out there.

Good luck

In addition, there are two plugs in this area, only one has a white wire with a #10 stamped on it. So if you saw #10 and it's white, then maybe your splice connector. The standard blue ones are to big, use a yellow or pink one. you'll get it. For those reading along, this is the reason you don't try to get the wire out of the loom, there are four white wires with no way to distinguish.
Robert

Edit: Don't feel alone, as I am sorting out and doing some rewiring myself, today.
