Default N20 leak?

Well I filled by bottle about 3 1/2 weeks ago. Then I put the car on jack stands. Took my old wheels off and sold them, and ordered some prostars, and put those PITA wheels on, so today, I checked my bottle and in 87 degree weather, the bottle was down to 600psi, in my 15lb bottle, Put the bottle heater on and no good. I forgot in close the damn valve on the bottle, Is this normal to loose some psi, with the bottle open, and sitting for about a month. I check a few places and found no leaks. But is this normal or should I look even more?

small leaks over time are inevitable, that's why you should close your bottle when not in use

It is not good for the solenoid to leave the bottle on, especially for so long. I heard the extended pressure on the solenoid can possibly damage the solenoid or cause it to leak a bit. I also head that NX recommends that you turn the bottle off even between runs at the drag strip. Just saying some things i heard from someone else here.

Well you shouldn't in theory but most people do if you don't close the valve. On a hot day you can see 1500 psi or more on a bottle that pressure is constantly pushing and pushing on those fittings.. it will find a way out eventually, all it really takes is one fitting not being 100% well seated or tight. Best to always close the valve.

Now I do personally always leave mine open and i have lost a bottle once in a blue moon.. but my reasoning is having nitrous on my vehicles.. that I will not chance not having the valve open, forgetting to open it when getting in my truck, car etc and getting in a situation where a. i think i have it open and find out the hard way that it wasn't, or knowing it's closed and that I forgot to open it.. and not racing someone i want to because of that lol
