Default TNT Ring + K&N FIPK ?????

I have both... Trying to come up with a way to make it work... Two options are:
1) Cut back the tubing after the maf to make the power ring fit...

or

2) Put the nozzles in the tubing right after the MAF and mount the noids like normal...

Any and all opinions are appreciated...

Pic for reference

I could be wrong.I do not think there is enough room for the pwer ring. The maff kit would have been a better choice on that set up.However you can buy two of the locking style nuts that NX offers and put the nozzles in the air bellow right before the throttle body.

we installed a power ring with a fipk and it was 10x easier than a lid. cut off a little on the bellows (even though we found that this wasnt necessary) and then the mounting tab at the front of the filter had to be bent about 1/4" towards the front and then just forced the filter to fit....

took like 10 mins compared to 1 hr for a lid....LOL

That sound simple enough.....For some reason I was thinking it might push the filter forward to much.

it does move the filter forward, but it wasn't so much that it still wouldnt fit using the k&n tab...honestly, if i was to do a TNT kit on an ls1, id rather have a fipk...and thats after having a lid, installing two other kits with lids, and just one with a fipk
