Default Coil failure with n20?

Was dynoing last Saturday (getting my nitrous tune up right) and managed to put down decent numbers but our session was cut short when the #5 coil failed.

Has anybody ever experienced this? What will cause a coil to fail??

i have also seen them go on the fritz do to moister, try spraying the connections with silicone spray to dry anything out.
could just be a fluke.

The two events are unrelated. Definitely bad luck though.

Thanks guys. We didn't hurt the motor or anything so hopefully everything will be OK when we go racing on Friday.
