Yeah, 12.8 seemed slow to me too especially with a direct port kit.

Also did anyone else notice the install where they grounded the solenoids through the MSD window switch?? (as opposed to grounding the relay)

I just emailed Rick jensen...I want to see the timing slip...reaction time, 60' etc. This was one race. They'd catch hell (from GM) if a four year older car kicked ***.

For insight, Dec '05 GMHTP, page 40, does a test (reprint) on a showroom stock '01 camaro SS and runs a 12.96 at 107mph in 90* heat. They go on to state that previosly they ran a 12.89 in showroom stock '98 Z28.
So, I also wonder about 12.85 with a 125 shot, what's up with that? Was this a NX kit, if so, I am starting to wonder about these NX kits?

Are the Jan rags on the news stand yet? I couldn't find one a couple days ago.

Did they do a n/a run to get a base line? The only way I could see a 12.85 with a 125 shot is a 98-00 auto. vert. maybe.

It was a ZEX direct port kit.

And got this:
Sure, I'll get an image to you next week.

Later,

Rick

Maybe we'll get the low down...reaction, 60' 1/8th etc...maybe it will shed some light. Give Rick some credit...he's a busy guy, but remains helpful!!
