Update: N20 Solinoid Stuck Open

Default Update: N20 Solinoid Stuck Open

First I want to thank red91z from NOS for offering to check out the solinoids and rebuild them for me. I really appreciate it. All of the plugs on the passenger side (side the noid stuck open on) of the car are green. What exactly does that mean, too lean I'm guessing? Other than that they show no signs of melting. The driverside all look normal. I did a compression test but unfortunitly I was unable to do it with the motor at operating temp. No jack and I didn't feel like getting 2nd degree burns doing the passenger side. So I did it with the motor stone cold.

8 - 185 7 - 185
6 - 178 5 - 180
4 - 185 3 - 185
2 - 183 1 - 183

I'm guessing the motor is fine, it still seems to run good and the passenger side has very similar results to the drivers side.

As soon as I get the noids back I'm going to upgrade to the fuel/n20 rails and plumb the kit in with SS lines. Thanks Dave you were very helpful with everything, can't wait to get all the new goodies

Will you be purchasing some NX noids?? My nos noids were leaking after only a year, so I got the NX noids, best switch I have ever made.

Good to hear that your car is fine, that's a scary thought. How much spray did you have?

Actually we are going to take care of his solenoid issues and try to find the cause of the problem. Failures resulting from an actual faulty solenoid are rare so we like to see these issues to prevent any other failures.

SSdriver, I'm in Orlando at the PRI show and will return on monday. They should be there when I return. I'll have them back out to you by tuesday at the latest.
