If you wanna ride around with the t-tops off, you can just take the bottle out, or leave it in and put the t-tops in the back seat, just bring a couple of bigger towls to wrap them in.
How's it been going, havent seen you on here in a while? Like those wheels, looks mean.

Anyway, I just wanted to show you how it looks.

I think the install is clean as the day is long.. I am just thinking in a wreck what would happen thats all.. Heck I have seen guys just set the bottle in the floor board in the rear. Still clean install for sure, but I do not think it will pass tech at a race track.

That's my concern also but i've seen stranger stuff pass at different tracks.

I mounted my amp rack the close to the ways that were described as above. It involved no cutting, welding or rigging to hope it stays put however.

I also took a board the and wrapped it with carpet. I then removed the two hook things up on the rear deck (can't remember if they are cargo tie-downs or for child seats) and used some cheap metal strapping from Home Depot.

Basically I just laid the strapping and replaced the bolts for the hangers and then bent laid the board on top of that. I bent the metal up and trimmed the excess and screwed that to the board top and bottom in 4 spots. It is impossible for it to move and you still have a piece of wood that you can mount stuff to with out going through the metal.

i do like the wood board idea.

it probably wont pass tech, but our track is sorta laxed...at least for the test n tunes and thats the only events I race at

I was also thinking about using the bolts from the tie downs in the back

great idea guys, thanks a lot

now time to go freeze my @$$ off in the garage seeing what looks good to me!

I use the wood trick, except I use Gorilla Glue to attach it to the deck (2 small screws to hold in place while glue dries). This stuff works. Here's a pic of wood and glue that has passed tech about 150 times. I am not worried about a missle hitting me in the head if I get in a wreck either.
