Default question for your nitrous reps that doesnt necessarliy pertain to nitrous

im just curious how you got your representative jobs working for your companies. what experience or degrees would that require.

im saying this because im extremely jelous and tired of waiting tables, i want to pursue my passion.

Also if any sponsors are looking to hire anyone in the florida area even for a small status let me know. I may be young (20) but im very smart, hard working, pursuing my bachelors in business management and have been obsessed with cars since a young age. I dont have much experience per say, but I took 4 years of auto shop class in my high school (we did have a pretty nice shop: 3 lifts, full pnuematic system, welding booth) and maintenace on my cars. I also spend a lot of time just reading and absorbing information.

pm the info please i dont want everyone knowing how its done hehe

Ok I call NX while working at a speed shop and asked for a job. I mean hey I was moving to the area and figured what the heck.
So they hired me and I last O' about 4 hours and said screw this , no way in hell am I a tell a marketer, and have no need desire to stay on the phone. So I quit.
After about 6-8 months, call NX up to ask some tech stuff and they asked do you want a job. WHAT? did I hear that correct, " do you remember I quit before"
So got hired again,
Started working in the back for 1/2 a day, and worked on the phone as a TECH for the other 1/2. Time went on and became mostly tech and working in the back. Looked like the person at a drive throu window with that damm head set on my head. Then took over all inventory purchasing and system costing. Start putting my .02 cents in on things.
Then about a 18 months into it, we all had a meeting and the owner told everyone "Rick's in charge and if he does not like you he can fire you". and thats that, ben the GM since then.

My Recomendation to you would find a company you think you want to work for, go in and ask for a job. Learn everything about the company you can and what they will allow. Be excited to be working there, even if you are pushing a broom.
We all have to start somewhere, otherwise there is no begining.

Ricky

Well I always feel funny touting my credentials, which to some aren't much, but for me it's what I am. I was literaly born into drag racing, so I have had tools in hand since I could walk. Built all the usual go-carts and chopper bikes as a kid. then in high school it didn't look like I was going to get to far, and I really wanted to be a mech, so my folks sent me to Voc Tech school, they now call Tech College. Well it was full time 2 1/2 years, and right out of school I went to work as a mech/maritime outfitter at a Jet Boat company. I worked my butt off to earn a lead postion and this has carried me into my current job, Nordlundboat.com and am currently a mech/shipwright on Vic Edelbrocks new yacht. Inbetween these two jobs I put my self through a couple colleges to get a Mechanical Endineering degree which was just for myself and really has little bearing on my job. My nitrous postion came through an offer, I believe because of my passion for my hobby, drag racing/nitrous, and having 30 years experiance doing so. My advice is just like Ricky, chose a company you like and put your heart into it and work your butt off and you'll only go up. Most jobs I started at bottom, or close to it and worked my way up into a real postion. this same advice I got from my father and it works. Good luck, you'll find what you want. I have had jobs like a fry cook at Happy Chef resturant in Lincoln, Neb, but did meet Miss Nude America while there.
