Default solenoid mounting?

could i mount my fuel solenoid on the fuel rail? am also installing a fpss so would i need a adapter or would it be better just to mount the solenoi some where else.
the reason i ask is because i am going to order dave's plate system in a few weeks and want a clean install with a solinod on each side.

iv'e seen solenoid mounting brackets that bolt to the heads but don't know where to find them.

Thanks
Eric

Download the NOS LS1 plate instructions, they show how to mount the noids with decent pictures of where you are talking about. The instructions are on the NOS site.

the closer you mount the solenoids...the harder the initial "hit"...I have always tried to mount the solenoids really close or directly to the plate on my carbed systems

We carry the solenoid mounting plates. We also carry the fitting for mounting you fuel solenoid directly to the fuel rail.
Here is a link to the solenoid mounting brackets.. The fitting for mounting it the the fuel rail is not on our current web site but we have them in stock as well.

Let me know if I can help.
Thanks

Summit has this Earl's fitting with free shipping if you call. They work perfectly and are plenty strong enough for connecting to rail. Part#916104erl

Yes but you would be mounting the fpss to the manifold that that is connected to the rail.
