Default New to Nitrous

Ok,

I have read the above stickies and went to the go fast.org site and there is still one question that i dont quiet understand. When you have a basic setup say a basic 100 shot wet or dry kit installed with a WOT switch and a window switch, when you hit it in first gear and you go say WOT and then hit your window n2o will spray.....ok but then when your in 2nd and reach your window at WOT does it spray again, and so on and so forth all the way through 3rd,and 4th? I am just wondering or is this a multistage kit that i am speaking of. And if so how do go about setting the nitrous to only hit in like 2nd or 3rd gear. I'm sorry if this is a dumb question i am solely trying to find more information

Thanks in advance,

Seth

Yes it will spray in every gear as long as you are in rpm window and at WOT. There are switches out there that allow you to lock out first so you wont spray when in first. You can also make gear lockouts with more WOT switches that are mounted at the shift gate. I have seen pics here with them.

Thanks,

To be honest im not tha mechanically inclined. How much about would it cost for me to have a kit installed...say i already bought a kit for around 600 and then maybe 300 more for the WOT and window switch and actual dash switches...how much then would i pay for having someone install it for me....say a wet kit

Thanks

seth

if ur worried about traction you have it setup so when u spray it starts out at like 35% and then goes up to 100% of the shot ur running, so its easier on ur car and tires, of course that cost more $$

a good basic kit dry or wet kit is anywhere from 400-600 dollar range. look at some of the kits are sponsors have they are all good kits and all have great customer service.

if your going to get a kit your going to need saftey and acceseries feature i am going to make a list of what are good safty features along with the kit

dry or wet kit 400-600
fuel pressure saftey switch-35-50(saftey)
window switch-80-150(saftey)
bottle heater-80-150
nitrous filter?(saftey)
ngk tr6 spark plugs about 2 dollors per plug(saftey)
custom switch panel-55-100
purge kit 80-150
fuel pump(saftey) if you stick to a 100 wet or dry you probley won't need it. but how many of use stayed with a 100 shot

install around 200-500 depending on shop.

if you have a basic understanding of wiring you could hook it up yourself.
there are some good wireing diagrams on there and the install manuals are also very helpful

well i hope this helps you with your dissicion.

I spent about 600 on my entire system. I got the basic wet kit used with a purge valve. Bought a new heater, bottle brackets, WOT switch, and window switch. If you want to do the install yourself, learn a little bit of electronics like how to read schematic diagrams. The kits all come with instructions and NX has great install instructions on their site. The install is rather easy as long as you take your time and do it right the first time.
