Default nitrous ???

Hey yall im thinkin bout putting 50-75 shot on my 283 in my Z28. What parts should i go ahead and beef up? (my motor is still in the process of being tore down.)Would tha shot mess up my 2-barrel carb? if my 283 was pushing 200 hp on motor and running 16's or 15's (im guessing thats what itll run) around what times would a 75 shot put me. I would go more but i think 75 is big enough for a 16 year old...well for now

Well really 75 hp is nothing for a stock V8 to handle. Depending on your budget I would suggest good forged pistons, better rods or ARP rod bolts in your stock rods. Then you can play with as much nitrous as you like. 150 HP is where is starts to get fun, plus I know those 283s love to rev

A stock V8 engine will take a 100 shot with no internal parts upgrades as long as the tune is half-way close.

A 75/100 shot will just need a spark plug change, good gas and the right tune.

regular el cheapo plugs will work fine on a hundred shot. ( just pull a couple after your run and make sure they're intact.)

pill it till you kill it!
