Highest dp shot on pump
Highest dp shot on pump i was wondering what the highest shot i could do on a forged 346 ls1 with 8.2 to 1 compression with a direct port system on c16 in the no2 fuel tank and 93 in the cars tank, this engine was built for a supercharger which is why its only 8.2-1, car has stage 2 heads and all the bolt-ons. im planing on using a Progressive controller to bring in the power. car is 2700lb race weight with a ladder bar (any ideas on et would also be great) 
I would try to raise the compression as much as you can, also find out exactly what internals the motor has, forged pistons are not all created equal when it comes to large amounts of nitrous.
If you don't have lowered ringlands (i.e. more than the standard .25" between top of piston to first ring) then you'll probably want to stay around 200, 250 being the max. That is pretty much the answer I got from everybody I asked (manufacturers and sprayers alike) and why I am going with some custom diamond pistons.

thats what i have been told which is fine im sure 250 dp shot should get me into the 8s with the ladder bar and minitubs at least i hope (ill wait till next year to raise the the comp. i have to imagine that ill run 9.10s with the current heads and pistons. it will give me something to do next year to go faster)
