Ive had my cold fusion noids for about 2 years now and no problems as of yet. Then again theyve never been installed, just sitting on a shelf. Seriously the noids are not a problem, they are peter paul noids, and I trust peter paul. Ive had a few bottles that I didnt like the vaslves on and sold them off. some of there parts are cheesy, but what company doesnt have something someone doesnt like. Atleast the bottles arent a gay purple color

Is there a 'Nitrous for Dummies' or 'Nitrous for Beginners'? I am completely new to the nitrous scene. I have PM'd nitrous outlet, they have been helpful, acutally awaiting another reply.

I need to get a system for my LT1, but want to know whether rpm controller is a good idea? Should I get one of those controllers? Should I get the fuel cutoff thingy that turns off the nitrous is the engine will run too lean or rich?

I have like a million questions, researched some, but would like to get some more guidance. Sorry for the newbie with all the questions.

PM's is the best way to get a hold of me.

TIA, Greg

I found in the last almost 2 years now dealing with nitrous systems for my car and vicariously on my mechanic's car that even with the excellent suggestions by Robert, to visit "up top", something that not enough folks do that you almost have to do some things to see how they work for you. Examples that I ran into was this propensity to put things in "do this first/do that first" list. I'll tell you that the simple facts that I learned is that a nitrous system is most reliable from the perspective of being consistent when you invest in the system of your choice, use a heater, use a purge, use a guage to moniter bottle pressure. I think of this as the system approach. I'll say this again...no matter who you go with, know that they are there for you from the original purchase to the accessory purchaes. Accessory purchases are things like window switches or progressive controllers. The last word of advice is becareful getting into nitrous...it's addictive.

I will probably be purchasing one of your kits and safety equipment when I return from my deployment. Robert56 is a freind of mine and I am fortunate enough to have him offer his help in chosing and installing my kit. I'm very eager to get home.

One question though.........are your kits rated at the wheels or to the flywheel?

Wheels, or flywheel, you can ask for your choice of jet sizes to be included in your kit. we'll get you set-up Jon. Did I tell you I am adding the ls1/ls6 Nitrous Direct/Cold Fusion plate kit to my car? Some thing for you to consider, a nice clean and powerful set-up with dual staging option for later.

That sounds nice. I have seen pictures of that system.........its very clean!

I would love a system like that, but I still need to get a cage, jacket, 5 point harness, DTE strut brace, window switch, etc. and I want to try and keep it with in a budget. I'll propose my budget with you when I get home. Or maybe we can get the bugs worked out through PM's and when I get home I can just buy everything right away.............What do you think?

I found this at the Coldfusion website...

SOLENOIDS

N2O PRO Solenoid CFN-1800 Used in the 400 hp kits: .125 orifice; 1/4" inlet; 1/8" bottom outlet. (Bottom outlet increases flow.)

Fuel PRO Solenoid CFN-1801 Used in the 400 hp kits: .250 orifice; 1/4" inlet; 1/4" outlet .

N2O PRO Solenoid CFN-1802 Used in the 400 hp kits: .125 orifice; 1/4" inlet; 1/4" bottom outlet. (Bottom outlet increases flow.)

N2O PRO Solenoid CFN-1803 Used in the 400 hp kits: .125 orifice; 1/4" inlet; 1/8" outlet

Fuel PRO Solenoid CFN-1804 Used in the plate kits and direct port kits up to 400hp: .250 orifice; 1/4" inlet; 1/8"

N2O Super Power Solenoid CFN-1805 Up to 200 hp; .078 orifice; 1/8" inlet; 1/8" outlet. With a screen insert inlet.

Fuel Super Power Solenoid CFN-1807 Up to 200 hp; .176 orifice; 1/8" inlet; 1/8" outlet

Monster Nitrous Solenoid CFN-1808 Up to 600 hp; .156 orifice; 1/4" inlet, 1/4" outlet

Can you clue me in as to what the coldfusion part number is for the solenoid that came in my Pro Dry kit? Just wanted a little more info on what exactly came with my kit so I can see how the noid in my kit compares to the other coldfusion noids that are available...

Can you list the Nitrous Direct kits that actually 'do' come with the PRO solenoids?

I had thought that MY kit came with one of the PRO noids (good to 400hp), but then I remembered something you said about my noid having a 'screened inlet' (may not need a separate filter because)... As far as I can tell, the only Coldfusion noid with a screened inlet is this one:

"N2O Super Power Solenoid CFN-1805 Up to 200 hp; .078 orifice; 1/8" inlet; 1/8" outlet. With a screen insert inlet."

And it is definitely NOT a 400hp solenoid...

Which noid (part number please) comes in the Pro Dry kit? Is it supposed to have a screened inlet? Sorry for all the questions, I am just trying to figure out exactly what I am supposed to have in my kit.

Thanks for the help Robert/Nitrous Direct...
