Default N2O and tuning?

I'm contemplating adding a N2O system this year and was wondering if I can do a small (like a 100 dry) hit without tuning. My combo (ETP 5.3 heads, 232/239 595/601 112lsa, full bolt-ons. 9"rear/4.30's) was tuned N/A and made 404rwhp/387rwtq on a mustang dyno. AFR was around 11.8:1 and my injectors were at 65%. I have the racetronix pump and 42lb. injectors. I'd appreciate any advise...did a search but couldn't find anything specifically related to my combo.

you have a great base to start with for the fuel system. Are you running the stock MAF still? I think you could spray a 100 dry easily with no retard. You could probably easily spray a 150 dry as well with just some 100 octane unleaded.. As usual just test it on a dyno with a wideband and if possible monitor for knock. If you get some retard timing and/or add octane.

If you are on the stock bottom that will pretty much be your limiting factor.

Yeah, I have a ported/descreened MAF, ported TB and stock bottom end. I'd just hate to have to spend another $500 for tuning if I don't need it...then again a new shortblock is ALOT more than that.

I think youll be ok with the 100 shot. Do you know what max timing is for you NA setup? Do you know your compression?

Compression is right around 11:1 I think. I want to say I remember the max to be around 29-30* on the dyno.
