I am using a Yank PT4000, recommended per Mike at Yank...I am using 150-200 shot. Works great on Motor....shifts at 6800 and drops to about 5300 on shift recovery...havent hit the nitrous yet with the new combo...

Of course you can tune with a car completely stock.
I actually prefer to tune with a stock converter in place.
You might want to find out what your tuner is thinking.
