lt1 dry kit As posted I have a 96 lt1 and am thinking about putting a small dry shot on my motor. I belive all i need is a fogger nozzle after the MAF and before the TB. I am going to run a solenoid anywhere from 50 to 150 shot. I have msd digital6, new pistons, valves, rockers, pushrods, port job, hooker lts, cc306, 2800 stall, shift kit, !air, !egr, !heater core and cai. Is this how i should do it on a low budget? Not looking for a huge increase just a little jump without hurting my car too bad. Thanks for any infor.
But the 5176 kit from NOS if you have the cash and get some new injectors (preferably something in the 24lb/hr variety from SVO)
Dry kits are going to subject your injectors to larger duty cycles and cranking fuel pressure which on stock injectors is not always a good idea.... I ran about 250 bottles of n2o thru my internally stock LT1 to include stock throttle body, roller rockers, manifold, etc and the car ran 11.40@122 on slicks all day....
But I WOULDN'T recommend hacking together a dry kit to save cash... the 5176 kit is like 700--800 complete i think. if you don't have at least that then you're not ready for nitrous.... no flame just you don't want to play with kits that are slapped together with different companies parts... that is playing with fire and your motor will eventually fail.....
