I assidently hit 200, but meant to say pill it for kill, 300. Use your controller to limit the amount it flows, you can creep it up by trial and tune. Run it on a 150, pull plugs, read the AFR, adjust...run it 150 if its right, then move on up to 200 and repeat. Before you know it, you'll be shooting the moon. Ok, seriously though, after having gone the DP route before, I dont like ******* around changing jets all the damn time. I would pill it and controll it as mentioned. I would check the tune, and probably start of 200 after a 1st gear lockout. GL.

No doubt...after running a 200 shot for several weeks with the 408...it's just a beginning. Bring it in soft with a prog perhaps or dual stage it or both...certainly what i'm coinsidering....but do it (like it was said earlier) BIG!! 250-300 if it's got the ham for it!!

I'd also start with a 200hp shot and work my way to the 250hp shot. And if your motor is forged I'd personally spray more than that.

My big picture plans are to build a forged 400+ ci motor and spray a direct port 300hp shot into it.

What? No option for 400-500 shot?

As once stated if its a DP then go big or go home

Two stage for sure, of not a 3.

75 first, 175 second, 250 third. That would put you right at 500hp shot (depending how rich you go and all I guess)
That would also be a lot easier on the engine then two BIG hits...

Kinda a small hit off the line though when compared to a 500 hit.

Id go with a ngk 8 just to be safe and if it feels like the plug is to cold you can always go with a hotter plug.

While your getting dyno tuned start with a 100, then bump to a 200 and keep going until you, the tuner and the car is happy. I have almost the same set up as you, and I'm lookinng at a 500 shot. I do have a few more tricks up my sleeve. But with the right tune you'll be fine with at least a 200... Have fun and "JUST SPRAY IT!!!"

This gives me a 5 second run under good load and I can see if my fuel pressure is set correctly and the system is working well. This also takes traction out of the equation and gives a nice run.

lol i dunno about you but i spin in 4th hitting my 200 shot on the freeway

Brad, as a new mod, why dont you do a plug reading sticky with a few pics. That would be helpful.
