Default Timing Tuner...how much to retard?

I have a Torquer V.2 112. + 2 cam, TSP Long Tubes, TSP tune, Jon said my tune "should be at 28 degrees of timing". I am going to be spraying a 100 wet shot on the dyno. I would like to know what kind of timing retard I should run on my timing tuner? I have no idea what's "safe" on these motors, the last time I tuned a car was my turbo 4 banger so this is a lot different.

I appreciate the help LS1tech!

Well, if he said no more than 28* I'd say dont touch, run it and log it to see whats up. But saying at 28*, I (I hate this word) assume he/you means beyond the NA .76g/sec of airflow? If the timing is 28* up to the .76 mark and then lower after you should be ok on a 100 shot. During NA runs, I normally see .76-.80 g/sec of airflow all motor, whereas on juice it moves well beyond that up to 1.05 IIRC, and the timing table drops a decent amount from .80 and beyond.
General Rule of Thumb is -2* for every 50shot. Again, each combo may react differently, to many variable to get it exact.

I find all this stuff confusing
I am trying to get a custom tune (RWTD...) for my set up and I read on the forums you can do a 100 all day without a tune. Others say yes pull 2° per 50HP, I got a Diablo Predator and plan on pulling some timing. I am hoping for a 150 combined so believe I need to pull 7-8° or so...

I can't wait til May 6th when I finally get to see all this come together on my setup...

Beer, sorry I am not trying to add to the confusion. I always found it best to log and see where the car is at, AFR and Spark. I know the preset RWTD Tune will boost spark up, on my car it went to 33* at max NA Airflow WOT. There is no way thats good for nitrous. So, I had James lower the spark back to stockish, not even sure what mine was, but I asked for 26*, ran 100 on that, and used the Predator to lower it for the 150shot. I had messed with the timing a little bit back in the day (seems like a long time ago anyway). I seen no difference b/w 26* and 24* at the track, so I figured I would play it safe, no need to run closer to the edge when there is no real gain however more easy to lose.
Can you run a 100shot with stock timing, sure. Would I run 150 on it, no. I wouldnt unless I added race gas. But I also wouldnt use stock plugs or TR-55's either, thats just me. I know John and if is doing your tune he will make do you right, he knows WTF he is doing.

So I should not retard it any with a 100 shot? I will be running pump gas 92, T2 cam, longtubes, and the TSP tune.... and yes I have the TR6 plugs.

I wouldn't retard any for the 100 shot, unless I seen KR.
