Spray on a boat????? Crazy Idea!!!
I had this crazy thought
25 Baja and a 26 checkmate, both with 496 EFI 400 HP
both do about 70. and rev to about 5200
now add a 100 shot to them, and move the rev limiter, and let them rev to 5800-6200 80 mph easy.
anyone done anything like this?
heres the Baja, no pics online of the checkmate.

i would probably have to change the prop as well, with 100 more HP i bet it would spin.

There are site like this for boat modding and they have some knowledge, my brother is into this stuff and has shown me crazy stuff! We also have some guys in a local club that build race boats!

You would be luckey to see 75 mph on 100 shot. It takes alot of power to see mph on boats. A 25 outlaw might say 70 on the speedo but a GPS would show about 65 at the most. But given it has some nice exaust and 100 shot 75 is possible. Get on ATI website and look at he mph ganes with the procharge setups available for boats and you dont gain much mph

you may want to look into a blower. you wont sacrafice any speed with the prop change that way and will always have the power. i have a checkmate and had a blower on it. is your CM jet drive?

Never heard of guys spraying boats before. Asside from the drag boats out here on Grass Lake in Chitown subs. Blowers yes. I recomend a Whipple or Kenne Bell for a boat due to the flat torque curve. I myself would like to get into this. Takes tons of $$$ though. I won't buy anything that does not do at least 70. The 496 is a nice motor. I am guessing it is 425 though if it is the HO. 375 for just MPI. I agree on the 75 from 70 for the 100 shot. Takes a lot to get 10mph. Ever look into a stern jack? They garauntee 10% top end.
