Safe Memorial Day Weekend!!
Most of all watch out for other drunk drivers and have a fun and safe weekend.
Dave
About this time a couple years ago, I had such an expeirence.
When me and one of my friends get together trouble always seems to find us. This time we were hooking up for his bachelor party and I was his ride with my newly aquired Vette. I took the designated driver role seriously and bought a twelve pack of Diet Pepsi knowing that the crowd was gonna be a bunch of fun loving Harley guys, making fun of me cause I won't drink with em.
It was a great party, couple of strippers and a bunch of guys trying to get me into the drinks and I politlely refused saying my job was to get the bachelor home.
We were fixing to leave the party and I took my remaining soda's and put them in the trunk. They placed the bachelor in the vette and strapped him in and wanted a burnout, I did what I could for that, and off we went. 5 miles later, low and behold there was the roadblock
. They waved the two cars in front of me through and naturally stopped us. I run with my front plate on, so that was not why they were interested, put the window down and they grilled me (this was great fun sober!). "Where are you going?"
"Its not where we are going" I replied, "its where we been"

"License and registration" "where have you been?"
I put the car in park, slowly took off my seat belt to get my wallet out (cus I am fat LOL), and splained the evening to them.
Asked if I had been drinking I said "of course", I told him I started with a twelve pack and what's left is in the trunk, which I opened for them to view the remaining diet pepsi's.
My buddy decided he wanted to describe the gurl gurl action from the entertainment, and then they handed me my registration and license back and told me to make sure he got home OK.
All the crap I was taking about not drinking that nite was worth it, especially when I pulled away from the road block, with my insurance rates still low, and my Merchant Marine License intact (Holding Marine Licenses are subj to a review based on drunk driving records thanks to Capt Hazelwood and the Exxon Valdez)...
Its a whole lot easier to stay outta trouble, when you can recognize your gonna get in trouble...
Have a Nice Holiday.

all of which I have learned from our Wayne County MS hands
I definitely don’t want to be on the streets with all the amateurs’ partiers running around. BTW. Thanx for the extra solinoid rebuild fuel kit dave.
