Brain picking time...
I am putting together a 1991 Yota 2wd pick up with a LM4 (ALUMINIUM 5.3) using either a Edelbrock Victor jr or Performer RPM carb intake (I'm thinking the rpm band is going to be to high on my "little" engine to us the Vctor...But I am not a real fan of using N20 on a dual plane intake) 750 DP carb, upgraded rod bolts, T-350 trans, 4200 stall N20 converter, and a yet to be picked cam...
The truck should weight around 2500/2600 pounds...
I will be using a plate N20 system with all the "saftey" stuff, colder plugs, window switch etc....
The question I have is how big of a hit do you think my "little" 5.3 can take without giving itself a hernia...?
150...200hp...?
What kind of timing do these little engine like with the juice..?
What else should I know that I am forgetting...?
And yes...I did do a search and I know everybody gets tired of the what do you think it will run and/or how much will it take...
I've built plenty of Rats and Mouses over the years but this is my first romp with a Gen 3 so I am going to have to lean on you "experts" to point me to the weak spots etc. on my newest play toy...
Thanks...
