I bought a new/ used remote opener (NOS). In the package you have the opener, bottle nut, fitting for the bottle to the opener and a couple of fittings. My question is on the bottle nut and the adapter from the nut to the remote opener is there supposed to be a seal between the bottle nut and the adapter of just some pipe dope a tighten down? Thanks If you need pictures to clairify let me know.

 

Yes, the kit should have come with a big white, plastic O ring. I have that same kit.
