Default ZEX question

My buddy has a zex kit for a mustang and we're wonderind if we can put bigger solenoids in the zex box? He wants to keep everything inside the zex box he doesn't want noids all over the place.

I would say not because I've had the box apart and I don't remember seeing any room to spare. Besides that, the amperage rating for the ZEX electronics is low enough that an external relay isn't required. Upping the size of the solenoid will create a greater current draw. Something to be considered along with size.

There is not nearly enough room... have you looked at the box? It would fit maybe 1 real solenoid.

Just make your own black box ....Kitchen container spray painted black....get out your multimeter and test after the biggger solenoids...good to go
