Default Direct Port with stock LS1 long block

Im trying to find out what is my limit with the stock long block. Assuming that tuning is correct - How big of a direct port setup can I run?

I've got a FAST 90 intake and I'd like to use the provisions that it has for the direct port setup. Unless there is a reason why I should run the adapters that plug in under the injectors?

I don't want to waste money on a standard nitrous system when I know I will eventually do direct port.

School me...

Thanks.
David

You can run whatever will put you around 550-65rwhp, after it seems the #7 piston loses pieces of itself. Octane, tuning, luck.
Drill it and tap it.

What is required for sufficient fuel volume and pressure? I assume a forged bottom end will help with the #7 issues? What about rod bolts?

Thanks!

Rods not really. #7 is prone to ringland separation, partly from excess heat, being in the rear and not having a coolant crossover. A dedicated fuel cell will be your best friend with a DP. NX and HSW have them.
