New best on almost stock A4!
I wouldn't worry so much about the motor but eventually the tranny is going to give up the ghost and when (Not "if") that happens it could have a domino effect. Ask me how I know.
A convertor will help with a couple of things, first it will help ease the torsional load that is being placed on the rear and help keep it alive and happy. Two, it will keep the motor in a spot where it will make plenty of power without worrying about ever "lugging" it. I realize it sounds like a stretch but trust me accidents do happen. I have no doubt that ya'll could squeeze more out of your combo but there comes a time when you have to stop and ask yourself should or shouldn't I and at what potential expense. I am assuming ya'll are using a progressive controller and that will help with the above mentioned items a good deal. I hope ya'll achieve your goal for the car. A gent that I know here first grenaded his wifes stock rear, then he fried the tranny all with the stock convertor doing the exact same thing. Please keep in mind that he was NOT using a progressive unit so hopefully ya'll's results will turn out much better. Take care and I hope the best for ya'll and should you decide to keep pushing the stock combo please keep us posted.

Thanks Big Geek, LOL that sounds funny. Anyway I agree 100% with everything you said. A progressive controller in coming in the near future along with a little stall. I will keep you guys updated when some more runs are made.

The cp's are going to be through the roof spraying that low.
