Default Bottle pressure difference...WOW.

We'll tonight the first thing I did was tighten up my fittings very very good on all my nitrous lines. Im spraying 150 wet shot through a NX shark nozzle and it felt like a good power increase but not like a 150 should. I had a small wire going to my bottle heater ( like 18 gauge) it was very small and my heater wasnt getting as hot as I thought it should. I ran 12 gauge to it and it gets MUCH hotter MUCH faster. Before my bottle pressure would take 20 minutes with the heater on to get from 850-950 and it wouldnt go much higher then 950. Well tonight I had my heater on for 5 minutes and it went to 1200psi

I turned the heater off and waited for it to drop to 1150 and sprayed at 30mph. ( This is my 2nd gear so I never ever had wheel spin on the bottle) All I can say is It litterally feels like 60-70 more HP. I dont know if I had a leak contributing to the power loss but its a whole new car on the bottle. Spraying at 40mph it wanted to break loose on drag radials. Just wanted to post this...if anyone feels like there not quite getting the pwoer they should, check fittings and get the bottle pressure up there and then hold on like hell

That's really interesting! I had no idea wire gauge would make that much of a difference.

Not saying I was proud of this, but mine is with a 12 gauge wire, and it got up to well, needless to say, the needle was pegged, I was like a SS Scud Missle, this was by total accident, and I was new to the Nitrous scene. Good news is the bottle gets real warm real fast.

1150 is a bit high, 950 to 1050 is optimal for spraying.

It depends on whose kit/jets you are running.

NX says to spray at 1,050 psi. and that is what they base their jet size recomendations on. Other manufacturers say lower pressure. You really need to know your air fuel ratio at what ever pressure you are using. Spraying at too high a pressure with a wet kit you risk being too lean and damaging the motor.
