Default Nitrous KIT?

Ok, I just picked up my 2002 Camaro z28 in Aug, and right now I have a K&N FIPKII and a SLP loudmouth on the way. It is my daily driving car, and I want more power if I decide to take it to the track or for those late night drives. I was thinking about nitrous ( because of the cost and power outputs), I was wondering what kind i should get. Like brand and if it should be wet or dry. I know NX has a good looking kit where they give you a maf with the ports already added into it. Has anyone tried that? Also, i have heard about wet kits where the fuel had puddled in the intake manifold and then sooner or later kaboom. Is that because of a bad installation, or like too much fuel, or just a risk that wet kits come with. I know wet kits are the only kind you can use with a supercharger or turbo, but i doubt i will do that. I know all the stuff about how nitrous is a lot safer than people think, and yes i do know that it itself is not flamable. Also, how does a purge kit work, i know it clears the lines, but do you just push a button or flip a switch. One thing is for sure, i know i would rather go with a wot switch than a window switch. What is the review status on those nx bottle openers.

Basically i need some good advice with selecting a good nitrous kit

Also, if anyone has some good numbers on the dyno from their kit, it would be great if you can post them.

a WOT swith will usually be there anyway...but, a window switch is not even close to the same thing. A Window switch is a programmable switch that allows nitrous to come on at a set RPM (above 3k reccomended) and then turn off at a set RPM as well (set by user). I personally would go with both, as well as a Fuel pressure safety switch, Which will kill the spray if the fuel pressure gets out of hand. Now, as far as kit selection its all in the size and company. First check out the sponsors on this site, they are very knowledgable and they have awesome deals. A wet kit will spray after the MAF with a mix of N20 and Fuel, Where a dry kit sprays before the MAF and allows the MAF to compensate with more fuel. The MAF Kit you were talking about has been used by many people on here, and honestly i have only heard good things. The rule of thumb is up to 150 wet on a stock LS1, and 125 dry. On both kits it would be a good idea to get a set of NGK TR6 plugs as well, then look up the gap in the stickies. Other than that just read up, there is a ton of **** you can learn from this site. Dont just go jump in and buy the first thing with a nozzle. shop around, and as you have now, ask questions. Good luck man, and have fun

My numbers are in my sig. Ran low on n2o during the last run though. 400hp would have been obtainable.

My kit is for sale, all you would need is a fuel pump and NGK tr6 plugs. You can find it in the "For Sale" section.

Ok, Great... I have been reading a lot about this, and the MAF kit still catches my eye the most. I am going to look around a bit still. Work out some numbers, and stuff. I know for a fact I wont get anything put on for at least a month. I was thinking though, about mounting the bottle under the panels (where the spare tire is) and putting on a remote bottle opener on it. I've heard of people doing that. How effective are those bottle openers? Also, i watched an installation video of some guys installing a wet kit on an ls1, and it looks really easy. How difficult is it to install a kit? I know my way around an engine and I am a pretty good home mechanic. However, i am no pro at it. So if you have installed a kit on your own, please let me know how difficult it was.

I have an NOS bottle opener...love it!! Purge system brings cold liquid from the bottle to the solenoid and flushes out any air in the lines.

Installation is simple as hell. I did my own kit on my 3.8 (install inst much different) and I had never done any electrical work in my life, just follow the directions and wiring diagrams and you'll be fine.

Pure kit is REALLY easy to install as well, you just need a 4AN/1/8 npt 'T' fitting and it goes in line with the solenoids right off the main feed line. A bottle warmer is also a great investment.

As stated before, get a Fuel Pressure Safety Swithch too. This shuts off the solenoids when the fuel pressure drops below a selected psi. Its a $35 part that can save you from rebuilding the motor.
