Default Relay issue?

How often do relays go bad? How common a thing is it?

From time to time they can, more so if they are close to a heat source or if water makes it's way into one.

So should it not sit under ther hood of the car?Mine was near the shock tower bolts.

You can take it apart and look at the contact surface to see if it was water or just wear that ended its service..
