something just doesnt seem right on my 305 tbi motor when using the nitrous. it hits and all and i can feel my 125 shot a bit but it should be doing way more than it is i think. in first gear i cant even lose traction when i hit the button at 2800 rpms. also ive gained a lot of time but think i should be doing better. my bottle pressure always starts at 900psi then drops and i dont have a heater and it just feels weak. last night i had a full bottle and i raced 3 times with it and the 3rd race the car started to surge like an on off of nitrous which im guessing was the low pressure? but yea just updating where im at youve guys have helped a lot with my setup getting me up to run nice and safe. btw im running a nitrous .055 jet and a fuel .044 jet. thanks a lot

 

how do you have your bottle mounted?

being a 305 TBI motor and assuming automatic, you have the 2.73 rear gear. unless you changed it out. that would partly account for no tire spin.

 

yea you guessed my setup lol. i have the bottle mounted sideways on the rear hump in between the seats so i can see the gauge and open it and close it on demand. pretty decent setup maybe one day ill get around to taking pictures of it with my camera phone and posting them up also i got 2 racing vids from the other night even though they are both losses it shows progress on where i stood before.

 

i've been around 3rd gens for some time. had my own 86TA for 4 years. at what angle is the bottle at? my guess is the bottle isn't tilted enough. so, during the run, the siphon tube gets uncovered and that's why you are surging by the third run. so, a pic will be really helpful.

 

ok ill try to post one up asap but youre probably right because its got a tiny little angle its hard to explain it was hard to fit and what not and put and angle but ill show you ill have to fix that
