Arrow Nitrous 1st timer...

First, should I be ok spraying my 111k mile LS1?

If yes, what, besides the standard juice kit, (I'm going to go w/an NX wet kit spraying a 75 shot) should I buy? I will be getting the purge kit & remote bottle opener. Do I NEED a bottle heater etc?

Are TR55 plugs gapped at 0.050 suitable for juice?

Also, I want to mount the bottle (10 lb) in the spare tire well. What am I going to need to fab up to get it in there safely & will the remote opener fit?

Anything else I need to know or buy?

Depends on the state of the internals, previous detonation etc..just like a new engine can blow up on nitrous if not used properly, a high miles engine can live for years with it if installed, tuned and used correctly.

I would get the warmer over the remote opener. If you do a lot of non-track racing, just roll-out with the bottle open! Not that I condone that, cuz I dont, and it is illegal to use on public roadways, not like streetracing is legal though! Call up Dave and Nitrous Daves Outlet (sponsor listed to the right) and he can help you get the filter, FPSS (although I hate them, it is a "safety item") as well as a nice digital WS.

Save yourself the hassle and swap in TR6. You say 75 shot now, but after one or two hits, maybe a bottle, you'll want more. Besides your not losing anything going to 6's,gap them at .040".

Go to Homedepot and get a 1" (or 1.25")wide x 1/8" thick aluminum flat, do a search there are plenty of examples. One is mine which I will repost again.

Read the stickies up top and understand the in/out of nitrous use, the low and high rpm settings, etc..

Check the plugs, change your fuel filterand spray a 75 shot, and then step up to a 100 shot. Anything more needs some timing pulled. Yes you need a heater, even if it's hot where you live, as you go down the track the bottle pressure drops off and your next run will be a bit slower, and still slower the next and so on. Just do it, "JUST SPRAY IT!!!"

Yes on the heater, and check your fuel filter and pluge before spraying. Start with a 75, if everything goes well, then step up to a 100.
