Default 96 lt1 150 shot?

Should I atempt a 150shot on my bird?

I think not but I am just wondering if it would hold together.

92,000 miles with original stock head gaskets

I'm a heads/cam car on a 125 shot, I'm thinking about upping it to a 150 shot too. I'm just not sure how much the stock 92k bottom end would like 500+rwhp.

I have 73,000 on mine with a 150 shot...all at once...4 ten lbs bottles throught and fine

I personaly have had three LT-1's all with a 150 shot, and all lasted for more then 125k miles. I sold all three and started over with new ones. I think you guys should do it. "JUST SPRAY IT!!!!!!"

Were you boltons or heads/cam LT1's?

Get a fuel pump and you will be ok, I did and have 119k miles and am not worried about a 150.

Try a search if it is working this has been asked MANY times...

I did it years ago on my 94 Z28 with NX Kit, ported heads, hotcam, all the boltons, stock tune, stock fuel pump, MSD 6AL, blaster coil, TR6's and it didnt take long to hurt it with the 150 shot. I ran 10 bottles total through it. The car seemed to get slower and slower and the first few bottles were a 75 shot, before long there was was smoke pouring out of the valve covers constantly, it broke the rings and cracked the pistons. I did a high speed run n/a one night and that was the end of that, spun two rod bearings, bent two rods, had two cracked pistons and two broken rings.

Who knows what the air fuel was at, the dynos didnt have widebands around here back then!
