Nitrous Plate System + FJO Controller No gains :(
Guys,
Im wondering if any of you have experience with the FJO controller and the Nitrous Outlet plate system. I installed the plate w the 150 shot jets. AFR is great and consistent. I was using the FJO controller to trigger at 3400 rpm and cutoff at 6400 (right before my shifts). On the dyno we couldnt get an accurate reading until we set the cutoff to 7000. Aparently the converter (TCI 4000) is flashing to 6300. I went to the track after the dyno and ran a 10.8x on motor and then followed that with a 10.8 on nitrous. (it was kicking in a bit) I set it to hit 100% of the 150 shot from 3400 - 7000. No pickup at all. I then tried a time base with the FJO (putting a delay of 1.6 sec) to get me past my 60ft and same results.
Next race i progressed it from 3400 - 7000 from 25%-100%. I picked up MPH in the 1/8 (~5 mph) but the ET was only .05 better (10.60@129.xx vs 10.65@125) I bet i could have run a better et without the bottle in the car
Basically I have a $1,200 nitrous kit that is useless to me at this point.
FJO mini controller
2 10lb NX bottles
Nitrous Outlet 90 LS2 plate system
Purge System
FPSS
WOT (tied into PCM)
Bottle heater
The transmission is a 200-4R with a TCI 4000 lockup converter (im not locking it)
Engine is a LS2 402.
AFR on my data logs looks great. NA afr is dead on what we a commanding.(~12.8)
Im currently bypassing the FPSS.
I got one more race friday night.. Anything I can try before the season ends?

try turning the delay to .1 instead of 1.6.
.1 is enough to get the car to roll and should stay hooked
sounds like it might be driving through the convertor as well...........

with the power level you are making on the gun,the TCI just cant fully couple. it is prob at the edge of ballooning. For max effort on the bottle, call and have a custom convertor built from one of the higher end(not tci/b&m) companies. The car may lose a little on motor, but the gains on nitrous will be worthwhile....

I was wondering about the converter. With a progressive controller I was hoping to ease into it a bit. The 10.60 run was a RPM based program that started at 3400 and went to 100% at 6800ish. That seemed to get me more MPH in the 1/8 (approx 5) but the top end was still insignificant.
Over the winter Im going to get a new converter
I was wondering about those spragless conveters.

All things are point to convertor.
Take your power level down to 50hp and test again.
50hp would be less shocking and would allow the car to go down the track, and should give a little more mph then you are seeing now.
