Default quick question

so i was spraying a 100 shot 93 octane and it was poping, i was worried about not having enough gas so i put a 125 fuel pill in, car ran better and popped less but still was...i was pulling 4 degrees, i checked the plugs and tightened the gap to .33 (tr6) and still the same problem

so i get theis crazy idea to pull more timing, made it 5.5 and it pulls great and smoothe, first question is why is this? is this because our new gas is shitty?
and 2 my old times were 1.56 7.22 @95.3, will i improve on that now?
thanks

does the car have any timing added by a hypertech tune or any other kind of tune i beleive on the conservitave side its 2 degrees for every 50 horspower but you should be able to run a 100 shot on a stock tune with no problems

i gap my plugs at 30 so its possible but you should be able to run a 150 shot on your car without pulling any timing thats on a stock tune. if you had the car tuned im sure they added timing so the car runs at its best all motor so if they added 4 degrees then you would want to pull four degrees via a timing tuner

no?
popping throught the rpm range definately not timing related and i read the plugs they look rich, is it probably blowing out the spark? even with a .033 gap?
