Default Nitrous ring end gap, 2nd ring??

I've been told to gap my top ring at .028 for this 383 build that will see a 200 shot on a regular basis, but nobody ever says where to gap the 2nd ring.. So, what do you nitrous brain-iacs gap your second ring at? and is .028 the right answer for the top ring?

thanks,
TJ

According to my engine builder, .028 would be for a full race N20 motor. He usually sets a motor like that to .025 for the top ring and .026 for the second ring.

Hope thaat helps.

looser on the 2nd ring?!?!

Yeah, I've heard .028-.030 on major n2o deals and .026 on mild deals. The guy that balanced my rotating assy just told me .028 top .025 2nd.

Any more opinions..???

I don't build engines for a living, but from what I understand is that people are making the second ring a touch looser than the first to keep pressure between the 2 to a minimum.
