i have mine mounted up front on the driver's side, under where the driver's headlight is. It fits right above the black plastic, and you'll have to remove two mounts for the headlights, but it works perfectly fine, and the headlight is still sturdy. I have all my bumper support and EGR/AIR/etc... taken out, so with that stuff gone, you'll have enough room, and I can fit the filler neck of a small gas tank down in there to fill it up.
