It boils down to "ifs" and "ands"

Figure on each piece in the system. "IF" any one piece is failing or not at optimal, you want it to shut down automatically (or at least alert you). (fuel pressure, a/f, bottle pressure, locked open 'noid, etc)

The "ands" are so that you know every piece in the system is working at the right time it's supposed to. (pedal to the floor AND fuel pressure up AND nitrous up AND you're above 3000ish rpm AND AND AND...
