Default Bolt On nitrous guys...

What kind of nitrous shot you guys running? What kind of numbers/times you guys getting?

I'm debating whether or not I should go heads/cam + Boltons or 100/125 shot + boltons.

stock bottom end and 64,000 on the clock look into the harris speed works kit it will cost alot less and save you alot of money on gas and a tune and all the other things your going to need to install the heads and cam

So I could run a 150 shot no problem on stock bottom almost religiously and be ok? Just do the necessary precautions for such things?

A Full bolt on + 100/150 Wet Shot should yield 120mph traps with ease no?

You shouldn't have any issues as long as eveything is installed and operating correctly. You might need a cam in addition to the bolt ons and spray to trap 120s.

I would start with the nitrous - enjoy it for a bit then move up after that. Is is by far the least expensive route between the two. Since performance is top on your list, which it should be I would stick with one of the top 2 performing kits, NX or Dynotune.

Whatever route you go enjoy!

Running the mods in the sig and it traps 121 on the bottle, could actually be better but I need HP Tuner's to do that. The cam is a TR 224/563 on a 112 LSA

Really think so? I thought that if I sprayed on a full bolton car... assuming it was a 100-125 shot only... it should be yield me about 430-450whp no? I am reading a lot that full bolton LS1s make about 340-350whp? Then the 100-125 shot should give me a nice boot? Cuz i'm seeing that cam only LS1s are making anywhere from 380-440whp depending on size. So 120 traps with Cam, Nitrous, Boltons would net a tad more then a 120mph trap... right? haha

I mean... I know 125s aren't gonna happen. But I kinda thought that 119-122s would be feasible.

with just a cam and headers and 4.10s i dynoed 370 without a tune, heads, or LS6 intake. i just installed harris's wet kit with a single nozzle. i havent yet dynoed or been to the track, but they jet for rwhp. so i dont really know if you would trap 120's or not, but i think you could bank on the 430-450 range. then again, i might not know what the hell im talking about. and by the way, is a cam a bolt on to you? i think that term gets thrown around about as much as the term ricer around here.

I have the bolt ons and a hotcam. This combo dynoed 380 rwhp. With this combo I hit 115.4 in the 1/4 mile.
When I juice it up with the 100 shot @ approx. 100 feet out I trap 123.2 mph. All this on street tires with stock 3.42 gears. And I am by no means a talented drag racer

Wow that's pretty sick!

And no... I do not consider a cam swap a bolton. I mean of course technically everything is a bolton one way or another. But I consider a cam swap pretty major.

Anyway... If I through some 3.73s in there... think that'll better chances for a 120+ trap?

On a 125 shot you will hit 120 with stock gears, considering you are shifting manually.
Do you know what 60' times you are cutting? I am a 2.2 60' guy (I know, I suck!) and my car is flying!

I just got the car and I am pre-modding my car. hahaha :-) I would imagine a 2.0-2.2 guy since that I what I was hitting in 45 degree weather without smoking my DRs with my 300whp LT1

A 100 - 125 shot will give you a real nice boot, but I don't think it'll get you to the low 120s on a full bolt on car. A 224 cam/bolt ons and a 125 shot will get you there though (around 380 rwhp NA). Bang for the buck nitrous is hard to beat. You can always add one now and down the road do the other. HP is addicting that’s for sure!

God damn... I am gonna go with a 150 Wet Shot now... Thanks Guys!!

I love LS1s... I still see no reason why a 150 shot + Boltons wouldn't yield 120mph traps... I mean the cars should be right around 500whp no? In that area at least.

I am gonna add a cam for sure... just down the road. But that'll probably be towards some sort of rebuild since doing a cam + nitrous will scare the bejesus out of me (Worried about breaking bottom end).
