They shoyuldent be using a torch but heating the bottle rasies the pressure to get a better more consistant shot ie if the a kit rated for 900 psi and you have 800 psi you get a better hit on 900psi

Most nitrous kits around tuned around a certain pressure, usually between 900-1000psi. This requires the bottle to be heated to between 85-90 degrees. You could run it at a lower pressure and compensate with a larger jet. The problem with this is it is sometimes harder to keep a bottle cool than it is to heat one up. Which is why the pressure range of 900-1000psi came to be? It was an easy to obtain number for most parts of the country that was warm enough that if it was a hot day you wouldn't have to worry about your tune getting thrown all out of wack. Before this some nitrous companies like ICE and 10,000 RPM I can't recall which exactly it was would have you cool the bottle down and run large jets. Running the nitrous at a colder temperature has the added benefit of the density being greater but it is also harder to keep things consistent. So heating your bottles is done to make sure the kit is operating at its desired bottle pressure, although a torch is the worst and most dangerous way to heat them.
