Default prob with purge

i rewired my purge with a relay and tested it without the the bottle open. i then opened the bottle and it purged for about a second then it stoped. bottle pressure was only 550. i checked all the connections and they were good. the relay still clicks when i push the button. could the coil be burn out on the solinoid?

Thanks

Eric

i thinki found the prob. we i jumped the switch and tested the solinoid with an extra wire and it clicked and purged. i then noticed a spark coming from the solinoid, i felt the wires and they are cut where they come out of the solinoid. could they be grounding out and not let the switch work? well i guess i am going to tear it down and replace the wires and see if that fixes the prob.

You may be able to put some shrink wrap around the wires, but it sounds like the shell is what causing the problem. You may want to file the area around where the wires come out to get rid of the sharp edges. I would also be sure to install some sort of fuse for the purge to prevent any electrical problems.
