Default getting dynoed 2morow what should tuner mess with when tuning for nitrous??

Ok guys im taking my car to get it dynoed tomorrow. The guy that runs the place says that my car would prob be quicker if i went with a 125hp dry shot compared to my 100 wet now, would this be true if so ? Also what should i do ive got HPtuners but im letting the tuner at the dyno do it, im wanting to make 2 separate tunes one for nitrous and one for motor. What should be messed with when tuning for the nitrous? Timing? Spark advance? Maybe i need to post in the PCM and tuning forum but this is about nitrous so i hope some of you guys will help me out.
Thanks
B.J.

Couple of questions...is the guy at the dyno experianced in using HP tuners on an LS1? if not do not let him adjust anything.

Second..stick with the wet kit you already have. There is nothing wrong with it. A 125 shot that delivers 125 will be more effective than a 100 shot that delivers 100HP. Doesnt matter whether its dry or wet.

You can go to 125 on your wet shot with a pill upgrade.

I would not adjust timing at all for a 100 shot unless you have knock retard present.

If you need to adjust your AF ratio on the nitrous you will be doing that by changing the nitrous and or fuel jets...not with HP tuners.

Is the tuner tuning your PCM all motor as well..or is this just for the nitrous?

No need to ask us, your tuner should know. If he dosen't don't let him tune the car. End of story.

I'm with the other responders. Let the tuner tell you what he did...assuming you have a real warm and fuzzy feeling that he in fact knows. As I now understand, it is possible to have a seperate fuel/air/spark with a factory ecu, but it takes some doing. Don't ask me how...that's why I pay a tuner.

ya hes been tuning on LS1 cars for years thats what he specializes in. im going to get him to set up two tunes one for motor only and then another for the nitrous, im going to make a dyno pull on the nitrous and make a couple on motor so i can get the A/F right and get the car running better. Well my car keeps throwing a knock sensor code but there is no knock retard present according to my HPtuners scanner. Ill look up the codes tonight ive erased them twice and they come back maybe 1-2 min. right after i start the car and drive but ill check that out under the PCM forum.

As stated earlier, make sure your tuner knows what he's doing. If he doesn't make you feel comfortable, find someone else. Your motor is at stake here.

With regards to tuning, get your N/A tune done first. Once that is taken care of then work on the nitrous. As 383LQ4SS stated earlier, your A/F on a wet kit is done by adjusting your jets. I have my A/F set at ~ 11:1 with a 100 shot. Monitor for KR and retard timing as necessary. Depending on your set-up, you may or may not have to retard timing.

Good luck.
