read up on some of the stickys and use the search feature.
u also have to look at what you want. dry will be cheaper but like daniel said will require more tunning. there are also many extras that are needed to run nitrous saftly.

I would not really say one is better than the other. Both have there perks and there disadvantages.

Being that this is a LT1 car going wet may be a better option. If you go dry you will need a NOS or Zex kit that uses the FMU design. You will more than likely need to upgrade your injectors to support the extra needed fuel delivery as well.

With the LT1 I would agree with Dave and go with a wet kit.
THis kit would be a great option for you! Not only the best performance for the dollar but we are the only company, though I hear NX has one also, with a fuel solonoid that is not adverse to ethanol in fuel as well as detergents in fuel other companies use.

What do the fuel additives typically do to the solenoids?

I am not aware of any certain material that can with stand everything.

I personaly deal with alot of people. I can count the number of fuel solenoid failures I have delt with on my hand.

We use the same piston NX uses on our Nitrous Outlet brand solenoids.

Some additives that contain methonal can cause the fuel piston to swell.

I agree. See Dave we do agree more often than we think.
For clarification, on upgrading the injectors, the lt1 injectors are not the best from the get go. The added fuel pressure on dry kits tricks the stockers into being bigger and thus more wear/tear on an allready questionable injector.

The new NX E85 compatable wet n2o kits come with the lightning noids. Now I don't know if this means all lighting noids are compatable with ethanol? But the ones in this kit are. We do carry this kit, the E85 EFI Kit.

I thought the NX ones did also. I remember seeing a post a while back. But as mentioned above some detergents in fuel and some of the higher concentrations of ethanol will make the fuel plunger swell. This new plunger material costs us an additional $10 per solonoid but to date we have not seen any swelling that we know of.

so·le·noid (sl-noid) KEY

NOUN:

1. A current-carrying coil of wire that acts like a magnet when a current passes through it.
2. An assembly used as a switch, consisting of a coil and a metal core free to slide along the coil axis under the influence of the magnetic field.

My english teacher would have had a coronary with the spelling butchery of this word.

Thanks Todd! Usually I am preety good with the spelling. Probably misspell that word as many times as I type guage or gauge wrong.
