nitrous & cam set-up.
Ok, so I'm pretty dead set on getting a 224/224 .581/.581 114LSA cam. I was wondering how well this set-up will work with a dry 100 shot. I'm sure I'll need some 42lb injectors & a new fuel pump.
But as far as how this cam will work with nitrous, whats the verdict?? I would like to hear from people who have actually ran this set-up in the past or currently.
Thankx for any info.

w/ a small cam and a small shot, they'll go fine together.
you wont even need the 42# injectors. if anything you can get SVO 30's.
any cam will work fine with nitrous. find a cam you like n/a. then just add the hose to it.

Athough TINKRD is partially on it with the NA and add juice, I dont totally agree. Just like any cam will work with any combination, turbo, SC, Nitorus, NA, each combination can benefit from a cam ground for that particular application. One that takes advantage of the complete setup. Just picking a converter, you just dont throw one in cuz John Doe down the road used one and his car hauled ***...you want to tailor your parts to become the sum you want.
I've used the 224 cam, although it works I do believe there are other small cams out there that do a better job maximizing what your nitrous. I dont grind cams, so cant tell you the specs you'd want to look into, but general ROT is adding about 12* duration on Ex. side, and same or slightly more lift, and use a wider LSA. GL.

Well its official, I'm gettin the cam listed above in the next couple weeks.
CAT3, I figured & hoped you would chime in here. Here is my entire situation. Also how did you personally feel about your set-up with this cam??
I drive my car everyday & will probably only use the nitrous at the track or if I feel my car won't hang all motor. I chose this cam b/c I have heard from people running it N/A, thats is a really nice cam to drive around & has a decent amount of power.
I'm by no means shooting for the stars with my daily driver, but want it to have plenty of grunt. I was really wondering how well this cam would actually work when it gets sprayed on. If need be I will only use a 75 shot, I'm not planning on super juicin it anyway. Just curious to how it responds w/juice & this perticular cam.

Not to disagree with Cat, as what he said is correct. On small shots choose a cam for your n/a purposes. The benifit of a specific nitrous cam on anything under a 200 shot or a dedicated race car is minimal. Really, just up the jetting if ya want more, the n2o cam won't really add much except possible n/a driving conflicts. The Z06 cam I have isn't to far off and has worked stupendous up my current 250rwhp shot, and isn't holding back in any way. Good luck Big Mike.

Turbo and SC power is always there so it would be more benifical to match your cam per your application. However, with the n2o being pushed as sparingly as you say I'd buy a good NA cam, that won't mind the juice.

Yea, thats what I gathered. Thats why I went ahead with the purchase of the 224/224 cam w/918 springs. I do drive 90% of the time around town & on the highway to & from work. So some good N/A power was one of my main goals w/ a small shot to give me a little nudge if needed.
I was just wondering more about how people who did use nitrous with this cam liked its overall performance. I have read about people lovin this cam N/A, but didn't really find any numbers or peoples opinions on it while on the hose. I'm just curious I guess.
I know I'll find out first hand, but was just tryin to get an around bout idea of what to expect. Thankx for the responses guys.
