Default Nitrous noob

Any one doing a head and cam buildup, mild type setup, have an ideal compression ratio to run when thinking about adding a hundered shot of nitrous and wanting to shift around 6k?That in mind, anything to think about on the top end with a 42k motor that isn't smoking....yet? I'm thinking as conservative as I want to be, even after the nitrous shot i'd like to be 450-470. That is plenty for me. Thanks.

Well nitrous likes compression. Assuming the mild combo wanted I imagine you want to stay on pump gas so i would stay around 11.5.

nice anything besides wrapping the headers, moving some lines, or cooling the intake that will guarantee no pre-det or do you think that will even be an issue?
is a piston or ring change needed for optimum or would that just be security?
