Default nitrous question?

i have a 01 z28 with 40k on it. it ran a 13.4 three times in a row. i was very impressed being i only have a few free mods(that i thankfully got from this site) and i welded on a flowmaster. running regular street tires also.

heres the question, if i add a 100 shot on,will this engine take it?
it does have the dredded piston noise in the mornings but it goes away after reaches operating temp. also what kind of new track times would i expect???

With the same weather conditions I think a 100 hp shot could get your car in the high 12's as it sits. With a pair of drag radials that time will go down.

On a side note, get rid of the Blowmaster. They flow worse than stock based on info I have read hear.

If you take the normal precautions. (FPSS, window switch, colder plugs, etc) you should be fine with running nitrous on your car. As far as ET improvements, that all depends on traction. For street tire use I would go with our digital window switch w/first gear lock out. That would bring the nitrous on after you shift to second. You should run easy 12's but like stated before how deep in the 12's will depend on traction.
