air fuel? im about to buy an air fuel guage for my car its a narrow band i was wondering if that will guve me the read out i need just in case for running nitrous or is it worthless and buy the wideband
You can use a NB gauge but it is really just a estimate to the NB sensors. NB sensors are made to know where 14.6-14-7 and beyond that give the PCM a lean or rich indication (not an accurate number).
With a WB; the sensor is designed to accurately measure an AFR range say 10-18 AFR.
Dean and Dan pointed this out to me when I went to DynoTune to buy a narrowband gauge. I ended up with a WB and am pleased and happily logging away now with EFI Live.

I would go WB, if you go NB you will need to buy and install a WB at a later date if you choose to Tune/ Spray or just monitor what the engine is doing, just makes sense to do it right the first time.
