Proposed setup for nitrous system...need some advice/clarification
I will be using a timing tuner to pull timing and a scanmaster to monitor for knock. I am wanting to run a maximum of 150 but am going to start with 50, 100 then 150 just to make sure everthing goes well, since this will be my first time using nitrous. I will be using TR6 plugs. I wanted to get an idea from those who have used the timing tuner as to how much timing you have pulled. My car has a good N/A tune with A/F at 12.8 at 6300rpm(I shift at 6400rpm) and wanted to make sure that pulling timing would be all that is necessary since I can't adjust the fuel tables without another tune. I believe 1 1/2 degrees per 50hp is what I read to be safe.
Does this sound like a good/safe way to do it?
Any other experience or helpful hints would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, James.

Yes I had it dyno tuned. I am not sure what the timing is set at, but I'm sure i could get Jason to check it out for me.
I just wanted to hear from someone with alot of nitrous experience or has run the timing tuner, that infact just retarding the timing would be fine.
Like I said I will be going with a small shot at first and checking for knock as I go to a higher shot.
I have a friend who is running the stock fuel pump with near identical rwhp numbers on an MS3 cam and 150shot. He had it dyno tuned with the nitrous and A/F ratio was 11.5, which suprised me.
Anybody else had a similiar setup where the stocker is holding up well?
I thought the stock fuel pump wasn't good over about 450rwhp
Also I plan to do a walbro 255 with hotwire kit, but thought it was interesting his is doing fine and has been for well over a year now.
