Default Purge wiring

I have a push button switch that only has 2 prong connections to it, not 3. I suck at wire schematics, everytime I see one it just confuses me. Can I wire one wire on purge to ground, the second wire to the push button, the second prong from push button to a 12v source? Would that work? I really suck at this crap that I almost want to sell the brand new purge. Another thing is where are most of you able to run the wires from the engine bay to the inside of car, this is on a 02 z28.

The purge solenoid will be grounded, and the power wire to one of the prongs. Keyed power should go to the other one. That's how I have mine set up. It works fine for me, hope it's right lol

There is a grommet in the firewall on the passengers side.. youll have to remove the cover under the glove box and the kick panel, but its there. As far as wiring goes, wire up one of the wires from the solenoid to a ground, and the other goes inside to the switch. On the other prong from the switch needs to be a 12 volt source.
