Default Another "how much will it handle" thread....

I've got a set of ARP 2000 rod bolts to be installed....Considering just putting them in and seeing what it'll hold...

Anyone had any experience with them? What is a stock shortblock with rod bolts good for, as far as a kit goes?

Okay, I guess I may should rephrase this....I know what the "stock bottom end" thread says in here....I've always heard that the weak point in the rod bolts...So, what is, in your opinion, or from your experience, the stock bottom end good for with upgraded rod bolts? AKA, how much extra do they make it good for?....if any

Thanks,

-Will

Mine made 640/650 on stock rod bolts for 2 years. However, the rod bolts are not what broke, #2 piston did...

I believe he had a cam only setup on the gas. I made similar numbers in my 01' heads/cam Formula but didn't spray the car very often.
