Timing Tuner Questions
When I got my timing tuner it had no plug in for the nitrous retard does it come with this connector or do I buy it some where if so whats it called? Should I even use my timing tuner on a 75 dry shot I will be running TR6's?
As of right now I have my base timing +2 and WOT +2 total of 4 overall should I back it down and spray or hook up the Tuner and let the retard activation bump it down when switched on? What I am getting at is I want to use my advanced timing threw first when I hit 2nd I will start spraying.
I will be using a basic nitrous kit with a WOT activation switch.
Sorry Its confusing. Thanks

The timing tuner will have a wire going into it, will have to look at it to tell you the color, when this wire sees 12V+ it will go into retard mode which you can verify by the addtl. light in the unit. You have put in 4deg. total additional advance with the settings you mentioned. I would at least pull those 4deg. out through the retard on nitrous. Did you start with a stock timing curve? If so you would probably be o.k. on stock timing with a small shot, but you could put the retard at 6 which will pull 2 degrees lower than the 4 advanced in. Once you verify the nitrous shot is working correctly through a wideband, etc. you could put the 2deg. back in. Lean and lots of timing equal problems.
What ^ said. Most will agree that you do not need to pull stock timing for shots under 150 hp. If you don't want to get into the wideband thing right now you can get a Scanmaster or Aeroforcetech gauge to monitor spark knock retard numbers.
