Default dry kit questions

ive been reading up on dry kits, and i bought a 5177 nos kit, but it has a single noid...

i read all the posts (using SEARCH) that say to put it in the neck of my Lid about 3 inches from the maf and use a 90 or 70 degree nozzle.

my maf is already de-screened so thats not an issue

my question is...where do i get one of these 90 degree or 70 degree nozzles and which one should i get?

also,

the used kit i got didnt come with a FPSS... is this something i should be really concerned about? I was thinking its a big deal, so i went on summit and there only 40 bucks.. should i goet the 25-50psi one or the 14-24 psi one or the 4-7 psi one? my fuel pressure gauge shows around 60 psi during idle and 50psi under WOT.

and, i want to get a window switch because i ahve a m6 car.. so im lookin for opinions on which one to buy..

i was looking at the dynotuneone, wich includes a TPS so i wouldnt have to have the little microswitch under my hood... i think it also has progressive control so that i could keep it from spraying until i got to 2nd gear?

the guy i bought the kit from suggested a FJO mini controller, which i know nothing about.. i just looked it up and saw $250 which is more than i was looking to spend..

so i would apprecieate any opinions/expereinces/suggestions with either of those windowswitches/controllers.. and any more info on exaclty what they do that could help me do what im after..

1998 ta ws6 m6 123k

125ish shot, no spray in 1st gear.. protect my motor

i do plan on getting my car tuned by the local shop (RPM Motorsports in garner) before i spray it @ the track, but the closer it is to running right on its own the cheaper the tune will be.

thanks guys

key thing with a dry is your fuel system. Proper fuel pump, i recomend a 255 walbro since you're over a 75hp shot. Possibly 30# injectors and definatly have your tuner dial it all in. I think dynotune's website has all the little parts you're looking for. I was just on their site yesterday. As for proper length from nozzle to MAF, that depends on the nozzle's spray angle. If you arent getting full a spread of MAF diameter till 6inches. (if that made sense to you) put it at least 6 inches in front of the MAF. Sorry if thats rough to understand, what is common sense to me upon my visual is sometimes hard to put into words... Plus ive been drinkin, ha.

As for controllers, dynotune sells a cheap (150$) badass one. Spray that sucker in first with a 50hp shot, then time it out properly so that it all comes on 100% in 2nd. Personally pending traction and what route i go with for the 07 season. (two kits, dry for 1st stg and direct port for second stg. or one stage direct port with a massive hit on a controller) first gear will get no less than 100hp worth out of the hole. Proper setup and tuning is everything. Anything less its cartoon ka-Bloooey!

Give the Nitrous Outlet a call. They are a great group of guys and can get you setup with everything you need.

Also, just a comment, spraying in first is less likely to hurt your motor than spraying in higher gears due to the increased load on the engine in higher gears.

Any of the forum vendors have them. Getting a 90 or 70 is only important to your hookup. You want the end result of blowing N2o directly at the MAF (+/- a little to adjust for richness)

Yes you want one. It would be really ugly should you loose fuel pressure and you're spraying. You want it OPEN at less than 35 (ish) psi. The above ratings are the ranges you can set it to open. 25-50 psi is the one you want and adjust it using your aircompressor.

TPS/window is good one. There's also one with a 2nd stage window. Up to you.. always thinking of the future.

3000 on, 5800 (or about 200 less than YOUR redline) off. I think the dynotune has lockout built in.

..now can I go have a drink???

Also.. start off small... 50 hp.. and see what's going on with your fuel, injectors, injector duty cycle, and AFR. When you start steping up, you'll really want to re-read the drunk's comments, and get a better pump & injectors.

We have a 70 degree dry nozzle:

High pressure like this one:

Since it's a dry shot you'll want a AN cap to go on the end of the FPSS fitting, like this one:

If fuel pressure is droping to 50 psi @ WOT might want to think about doing a fuel pump, like a Racetronix kit. Shouldn't see more then a few PSI drop at WOT.
